Description

BINOCULAR NECK BUTTONING FLAP-BLACK

WWII GERMAN BINOCULAR BUTTONING FLAP-BLACK LEATHER
This type of flap was buttoned by two flap extensions with button pins to the upper metal cross arm of the binoculars and then, in turn, was buttoned to the tunic etc., by the button hole. The purpose was to secure the binoculars when running or when on horseback so that the binocular do not fly around and hit the wearer in the face and prevent the binocular strap from getting snagged.
